[Event] Career Reinvention In Times of Chaos - In Partnership with Co.Act & YNPN Detroit
On October 29, 2020, we were honored to facilitate a workshop in partnership with Co.act Detroit and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - Detroit for their Social Impact Leader Series.
The workshop was attended by 20+ professionals in the non-profit sector and other various industries. Their titles ranged from Founders, Executive Directors, as well as Training and Marketing Professionals. The workshop was filled with a diverse attendees with the majority dialing in from the Detroit area, some from other cities in the United States, and even a few from different countries!
The hour-long session was interactive, where participants engaged and shared their thoughts and ideas.
The main points we discussed were:
Career Reinvention in Times of Chaos - What is it and why now?
The Path to Career Reinvention - Roadblocks and Mindsets to Adapt
Building Your Career Reinvention Toolkit
The workshop also included a breakout session where participants were put into groups to connect and talk about their own career reinvention journey as well as highlight their success stories.
During the session, we got some thought-provoking insights from our participants on why they are interested in career reinvention or developing themselves.
What defines a career switch? I feel like I’m between a switch and staying in my lane…
Every time I get to where I think I want to be, I began thinking about what’s next.
To find a sense of fulfillment
I want to connect my passions with my degrees.
I want to do so many things and feel stuck where I am.
There are many things I want to do in life and lots of fields I want to cross over in my career.
We wanted to highlight these comments because these thoughts and feelings are very relatable to anyone who’s feeling stuck or uncertain with their personal and professional journeys.
If you resonate with any of the statements above, stay tuned for another session of this workshop and add your email to our events list. We’d love to connect with you and help you navigate your career reinvention journey.
