We are saddened to share that Lowell transitioned peacefully on November 15th, 2024, at age 92.
Lowell exemplified living a Bold and Brilliant Life.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Lowell served during the Korean War. Among serving in Japan and French Indochina/Vietnam, he was one of 186 American soldiers selected for a secret US mission in 1954. He had a passion for soccer, coaching in his younger years, and thoroughly enjoyed watching his most recent favorite player, Lionel Messi.
Lowell earned a Bachelor’s degree and went on to have a distinguished career as an engineer starting at GE then at DuPont, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring. After retirement, he cherished continuing his education at West Chester University studying computer science.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Dionne Peart Gardenhour; his daughters Bianca and Chanda; son David; his grandchildren, Revis, Cooper, and Julie Ann; his sister, Betty; and his brother, Clete.
Lowell’s wish is to make sure you “exercise your brain for life or else it freezes.” Your generous donation will help us offer scholarships ranging from the youth to senior citizens to further their education in pursuit of living a Bold and Brilliant Life.
